North Carolina Rally for Voting Rights tonight

Posted by Sean Cecil | Sep 03, 2015 | 0 Comments

As part of the NAACP's ongoing "America's Journey for Justice," there will be a rally in Raleigh tonight at 5pm at the State Capitol. The Journey for Justice "will mobilize activists and advance a focused national advocacy agenda that protects the right of every American to a fair criminal justice system, uncorrupted and unfettered access to the ballot box, sustainable jobs with a living wage, and equitable public education."

The Journey for Justice names as partners some seemingly unlikely bedfellows, including unions, environmental groups, women's advocacy groups, LGBTQ advocates, and religious groups. The rally tonight is expected to bring together a very diverse group of folks who value equality, justice, and a better future, and we urge like-minded people to show up!
